Tomorrow - Back to School

Yay, oh... I mean oh so sad!! My kids go back to school tomorrow. I think I am supposed to be sad because I like my kids being home, playing & just being outside and just being "kids"and ~ but really, when I'm excited about them going back to school tomorrow.... NOW, I'll be able to get soemthing done around here.... i am making my list & now it's getting longer & longer - now, I just need to DO the things on the list.

One of my many things on my list is making more & more jewelry. Lazy Daze is in 3 weeks & I want to have my booth filled with lots of vintage sparkle. here are some pictures of things I'm working on... aren't these watches with roses yummy!!?

Vintage watch faces and pieces of old pink earrings... oh, I love these! I love this combination too... and i love the pink & white roses ~

Below is a necklace I am making ~ the pink bits & pieces are just laying waiting to be married with the pearls~

I love this bottle bracelet below, mainly because I love roses in any shape & size & color

~ I may just make this into a necklace ~ i want to wear it ~

~ A cameo mixed with vintage crystals and soldered ~

I made some new soldered pieces after a sweet new friend asked me to make some pendants make from the scrapbook papers she helps design. Thanks Terri for reccommending me. I had so much fun making these. I love the blue one on the right the most, since it's funkier (and different than ones I've made before) ~ but I like the simplicity of the pink one with pearls ~

Below is the front of the blue necklace, however,
really they are resersible, so either side is the front...
This is the "back" of the pink one... Oh, the company that makes these gorgeous papers are made right here in Cary, North Carolina. They also have trims & all sorts of vintage looking papers. If you scrapbook and you love vintage, you have to get some of this paper. They have a whole line in the "paris couture" theme ~ their web site is http://www.websterspages.com/
Thanks again Terri & I hope you both have a wonderful trip to Florida

See you soon ~ in the next day or so, I'll show you other vintage crystal pieces in corporated into necklaces... these are my favorites of pieces I've made ~

Not sure how I missed this post... 1/3 of my lil ones returned to school 7/20... how cruel was that? LOL Especially since they just got out of school the end of June.

Anywho... your creations are just beautiful. You are a true inspiration of mine.

God bless.

Lori, I LOVE your work! If I had to choose just one piece, I don't know which one I would choose! I love them all! I make jewelry too, but I like yours better. I don't blame you, I'd want to wear that rose one too!! I do bottles as well, but you are the queen! Keep it up! Wish we could solder together sometime!

Hugs,
Sheila
